Slaydon's Travel
Slaydon's Travel was founded in 1976, as the first travel agency in Chesapeake, Virginia. Over the
past three decades we have positioned ourselves as the "Premier Travel Agency" in the Churchland
area of Portsmouth and Chesapeake's Western Branch. We continue to receive awards from both
the communities we serve and from our Travel Industry partners.
The purpose of the agency remains to provide customers with high quality assistance with both
their business travel needs and their personal vacation planning.
Assisting Slaydon's active office staff are local outside travel consultants. This allows Slaydon's to
offer the public a very diverse staff specializing in many aspects of the travel industry.
Ann Slaydon Forehand, CTC, Owner is a nationally accredited Destination Specialist in both the
Caribbean and North America; and a Certified Travel Consultant. She is an Official Cruise
Counselor and a certified instructor for the Educational Institute of the American Motel and Hotel
Association. Ann serves as both the administrative head of Slaydon's Travel and the group travel
consultant.
Jennifer Round, Travel Consultant, has over fifteen years experience in the travel industry with a
primary focus on Cruising. She has worked directly with major cruise lines in coordinating
passenger documentation and embarkation for cruises in Virginia and the Carolinas. Jennifer has
also traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States, including Alaska
and Hawaii. She has escorted groups to Ireland, planned destination weddings and oversees our
Honeymoon Registry program.
